ca18det wiring harness question

Let me start off by saying that this isn’t a "how do I swap my ca harness into my s13"It has more to do with misunderstanding or confusion.I just recently re-wired my ca18 harness with ka24de plugs and I came across some interesting things that don’t quite make sense to me.the first thing that I noticed was that on the fsm diagram it shows that one of the plugs (f10) has two open spots...but on my ca harness there are wires in each spot. A purple one and a blue w/ white wire. 2) The brown wire for the 02 sensor. Fsm shows a brown wire on the lower corner of F10. When I looked at mine, where the brown wire was, there was a grey wire and it didn't go to the o2 sensor. The brown wire was on another location on the other plug. I made sure that it was the correct wire with a multi meter.Im not really worried about the brown wire since I know that it’s for the o2 sensor and ive already wired it up to the ka harness. Only reason why I bring this up is because it wasn’t in the spot the FSM said it was suppose to be.

All im really asking for from anyone on the board is if they know why my harness is different.

What’s the grey wire for...I don’t know, it’s not on the FSM.

And why are there wires on the two spots that aren’t suppose to have wires in them. Im not really worried about these just curious.

Ive been searching for an answer to my questions for a few days now and have only found things that I already knew.

I made a photo-chop of the FSM so you guys know what im talking about and also I like pretty pictures

Here is was I used for my ca swap. From my research these are the only wires you have to worry about, disregard any that are not shown. CA/SR harness mods are done exactly the same. If you still need more info, search SR harness info.

well thank you for the info....

as i stated on the first post, im done with the wiring. i know what all they do. i was just concerned about the mis-matching that i encountered.
