Don't say it, did a search already, lol. I ordered an '86 200sx ca18et water pump to replace the leaky one on my ca18det engine. It won't bolt up though. All the holes are in the wrong place. Did I order the right part? Or did they just send me the wrong part? I'd like to know though, because it will be another week to get a replacement, and if it going to be the wrong part anyway, then I'm out a car for taht long (I'll have to keep driving my pos datsun :P, lol)

They gave you the wrong pump. The CA18ET is a CA18 (block code) no change in water pump design.

Thank you very much. I know the fwd ca18de water pumps won't work (or so I was told) so I knew there should be something here in the states that would.

Actually they do work, you just need the FWD water pump pulley as the inner hole is smaller.

They probably gave you a CA20E water pump or possibly a VG30E

THe FWD pumps will work, but you'll have to use a fwd pulley and you can't use your fan clutch on this pump or it will sheer itself in half because it wasn't designed to carry the weight nor the force of the fan blade and clutch.
