Made some progress on the swap today. First thing out of the way was plugging up the water port on the block. I've ask for support and ideas in another thread which helped me through it, and I can now scratch it from the list of things to do.

I still wasn't comfortable with how close the master brake cylinder was to the turbo. So while the manifold and turbo out of the car, I decided to swap the smaller brake booster from the '91 Fastback to give more clearance.

Here is how close it used to be. Now its pulled closer to the firewall, and up a ways more.
At about this point, I ran out of daylight... All next week isn't looking too good with rain and snow in the forcast, so work continues next sunny warm day.
