CA18DET Valve Cover Aluminum grade

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows what grade of Aluminum is the CA18 valve cover. I was thinking about getting it repainted but decided on getting it Annodized b/c I got a friend who does annodizing and will give me a price break. Anyways since I'm in the paintball industry we use T6061 grade aluminum and those have the best results.

Elifino. I doubt anybody else will either. I would assume that it's just cheap cast aluminium as it's not a high stress part...

I'm not sure what grade they are, but they can be coated quite well

I've had mine chromed

i just polished mine, the put some sealer crap on them.

i like how the chrome accents the crud, my engine bay looks the same.

My valve covers = cheap azz can of flat black paint
