ca18det - tryng to bog down when I hit the gas

I got an '89 240sx from a friend a few months ago. It didn't move for about 6 months. I went and messed with it and atleast got it to crank. It takes bout thirty mins of tapping the gas for it to stay idling. Whenever I hit the gas it wants to bog down but if I lightly tap it rapidly it revs up. It doesn't matter how far I push the gas it only revs up when it goes in about an inch. I believe playing with the throttle gets it to rev but I haven't tried in a while. I stay 4hrs away and barely have time to get to it. Some ppl suggested changing the MAF sensor and cleaning the injectors. Is there anything else that coud cause it to do that?
