Won't a 24 tooth pulley decrease resolution or is the stock CAS over kill as it is? As for the belt flex problem; I've read lots of threads about it but never seen any real concrete information supporting any severe problems caused by "belt flex".

Looks like megasquirt territory to me. Hard to beat the reliability of a crank triggered rotation sensor. I'm still not buying that the CAS causes any major reliability issues itself. And from experience, if you're tuning and engine so that a couple of degree's of timing is the difference between running, and exploding, you're not real concerned about reliability anyway. Plus 1 or 2 degree's of timing never makes more than a few HP difference when you're that close to the limit.

But, it's not my car, and I respect your opinions and how you want to build your motor.
