Hi guys and gals,

I recently swapped a Ca18det into my Convertible... Motor starts and runs perfectly, but ever since the swap, I cannot seem to get the Top to go UP or Down.

Here is what I have checked...

1. There is fluid in the Hydraulic Pump...2. Top Stack Fuses behind driver's side kick panel are good..3. I can get the top to work by placing my battery in the trunk and manually touching the Top wires to the battery posts...

Now, don't know if this affects anything, but the Speedometer does not work either, and the speedo cable is installed and plugged in.

Perhaps someone on here has some insight on this...

thanks much!

-Mikhail

check the auto -> 5 speed swap posted on here for the vert section - should be in the faq/sticky on this forum. You need to rewire a small plug to get the top to go up/down (think it's in park).

As for your speedo, check w/ the ca18det swap faq's on that subforum, has nothing to do w/ the top not working. You probably wired something wrong/missing something small.

+1 for the CA swap. Don't see them in verts very often.
