Ok i just bought a ca18det and it is wired for the dohc what has to change since i have the sohc???

Nothing. You'll just need to run a direct wire from the knock sensor to the ECU. It needs to be sheilded as well BTW. Pin 23.

Where is the Knock sensor located by the way?? And what does it look like? I still need to get that done before i finish my swap too.

On the block, under the intake manifold, dead center on the motor between the 2nd and 3rd cylnders, near the top of the block, up by the head. It's a single wire sensor IIRC, but it's sheilded.

And don't freak out when your stock tachometer does not work.You will need a dohc or aftermarket tach. if you like to see your rpm's. In case you did not know this yet.

so if we have both kph and mph would the speed to be read work on our tach?? 92 240sx btw..

You need to use your KA speed sensor to have the speedo work properly. I'd be suprised if there isn't a KA speed sensor in there already if the guy had it in the car and working.

No, it won't... Well, not directly. It would if you swapped bellhousings.
