I am currently in the process of doing a ca18 swap. the engine is in the car and almost everything is good to go, i know all the wiring and YES i have checked the FSM. since the CA is COP ignition i am not familiar with the system, the ignition chip has 3 plugs. 2 directly across from eachother and one seems to be a ground coming off the stand. one side of the chip is plugged into the engine harness, but the other side has no plug. i'm not sure if it is a plug that i am missing or if i have it somewhere, does anybody know? sorry if this is a noob question but after 3 days of googling with no results i feel the need to post.
thanks in advance its all i'm stuck on

I picked up the engine off a buddy that bought a s13 200sx coupe and swapped the engine to his old sr from the car that he recently totalled. after searching all of the wiring guides and looking it up nothing says anything about it. this is pretty much all i have left for the swap and i wanna hear that turbo spool! :ohno:

This is your igniter chip or I believe it is called the power transistor unit in the FSM. Your car will not run without this plugged up. Into one side goes the ignition signals from the ecu. Out of the other side comes ignition signals to the coils. If you have the plug connected that goes to the coils, you will simply need to get the ignition signals from the ecu to the other side of the igniter (like soldering in some wires or a pigtail). Best idea is to find a pigtail and solder it on to the leads from the ecu. I have one, but it would be quite costly due to the scarcity of CA parts. If you have any electrical knowledge, you could probably build this for cheap. Questions?
