Besides the obvious wiring, maybe you'd need different (from transplant vehicle or custom) mounts?Shouldn't be anything tough though...

Edit: Of course I forgot about axles, damn FWD cars...

well, the nx is a fwd car. you are talking about putting a rwd motor set in a fwd car. you could put a sr20det (fwd model out of a jdm bluebird)

how do you figure?? custom rear subframe with new hubs, spindles and whatnot to accomodate rwd, all new mounts, custom transmission tunnel, not to mention its too small of an engine bay.

I doubt you'll find anyone that's done the swap. Find out yourself. Oh, and try the CA forum; this is Gen Chat.

Internet Etiquette requires that if you make a most, do not make a second one unless it cannot be found (your profile should give you a link to posts you've created) as well as if your post is already on the front page, give it some time, someone will respond, if your post falls behind, give it a bump. JUST ONE BUMP.

With that said, just give it a chance, the CA forums are slow. Someone will answer eventually.

Boost boy and me both have fwd CA18det's

U12 bluebirds, pulsar NX, stanzas... just a few fwd CA cars

Us pulsar guys are used to hearing "my GA motor sucks, i want a CA!" honestly, you would need a whole fwd CA car to transplant everything. NOTHING from a GA series motor works on the CA18, electronics, drivetrain, motor mounts... none of that works.

he just gave you the answer in the post. none of the stuff is the same. Although it probably could fit, its not going to be easy to any extent.

there are a few challenges you are gonna have to cover.

mounts are different. one uses a hydraulicly actuated clutch, one uses cable.

not sure about axles, or shift linkages.

im pretty sure boost boy stuck one in a b13 sentra though, so wait for him to reply, it would be basically the same. def not direct drop in.

i answered in the other post, but here goes again.

one uses hydraulic clutch, one's cable, different shift linkages, mounts arent the same, axles, etc.

its been done before, i believe by boost boy into a b13 sentra, but it wasnt droppin.

who said anything about the ga?

the mounts wont work correctly, the clutch pedal wont work unless you convert it to hydro, the exhaust isnt gonna bolt up, you will most likely need to hybrid some axles, etc etc.

the point is its not gonna "drop in"
