I am having trouble locating one. Is it so easy that literally all you have to do is drop in the motor/transmission and hook everything up? No modifications needed or anything (like the sr20det)?

Yeah...that part is a bit tricky. I had to go back to 1988 just to find one.

It's really simple though. Pull the KA, follow the guide for the sr's and just drop the motor in. Modify the harness, and hook all the hoses up and you should be a ok.

I forgot to ask, do I have to use DOHC ka power steering lines or will the SOHC ones do?

I've heard of some people cutting and re-flarring their sohc lines but I don't know the legistics of it. Personally I would say, don't half-*** something as important as steering and just buy some DOHC lines. They arn't all that expensive when you get them used.
