Hi everyone

Just thought i'd let you all know that by mid this year Spool Imports will be producing a stroker crank for CA18DET, I will have more info for you soon, just waiting on a reply from them!

if you don't know who they are spool is an australian based company that started out producing forged rods for CA18 and RB30, they now make numerous different rods and other bits for many engines, they are of the highest quality and have a really good reputation here in Australia, check out there linkhttp://www.spoolimports.com/co...S.asp

When CAs were still seen running around I never saw a stroked one that made more power than the stock crank. The deck height is too low and the piston skirts are sure to be heavily side-loaded. Add that to the reduced RPM potential of the bigger crank and I don't see any reason the longer stroke is worth the trouble. I would expect to get a little more power down low but that is all.Pady's car retained the stock stroke and unless Norris Designs site is wrong their car did too. If you have spools ear ask them to make us a fully counterweighted stock stroke crank.

I do agree with you, a forged fully counterweighted stock stroke crank would be a lot more marketable for them as well! they won't listen to just one persons opinion but if you want to start a thread to show support maybe they'll listen to a few of us!

I agree.

only if it was comparable to get the same work done to your own crank (like their rods)

^_^
