Ca18det stage 2 sputters and backfires on accel

Hi all this is my first post on any forum like this so i hope this is all right.
I currently have a project with my dad which is a 1988 nissan sunny zx coupe which came with a toasted ca16de and a spare ca18de. We decided to put an 18det in because haha power and have had much struggle with it so far... we have 2 horsham chips one stage 3 and one stage 2(currently in due to the 444cc injectors we had being bad) we have all the correct support mods i believe an uprated fuel pump, a t28 turbo from a 20v fiat coule thats been built, a full exhaust and intake aswell as boost controller and intercooler. Due to the fact that what we're trying to do being more comonly done on rwd s13s we've used the original sunny harness and the s13 harness mushed together into 1 but i don't believe it to be causing any problems.

Anyway to the point the engine starts and idles absolutely perfectly no rough patches or hicks absolutely clean running but when accelerating it imediatly starts to struggle tops out low and backfires, missfires and almost dies and wont go above whats probably 2.5k revs(not wired in gauge) ive check tps idle controll and coolant temp sensor ohms all coming out correctly so.. any thoughts ?

Bogging and sputtering at 2.5k is usually a clear sign that the MAF was not wired up correctly. Make sure to use proper shielding for the wires and use a known good MAF. Compare the MAF diagram of the ca16 and ca18, especially fwd vs rwd, as it sounds like you have something pretty custom going on for the wiring.

I'm with Izento, sounds like a MAFS related issue to me.
