Anyone know what the stock rpm limiter is set at on the ca18det's? On that note, anyone know what safe rpm on stock valvetrain is? Today I just noticed that my ca ran to just over 7800 rpm and still didn't hit the rev limiter(noticed it in the peak rpm function in my turbo timer when I was messin around today). Maybe the tach in my hks turbo timer is off a bit??

I've revved mine to over 7500 rpms and thought "...whoah". Seems 8000 is the stock ECU's enforced limit. Many will rev to 9000 with the limit removed.

I was gonna say it's around 7500. You COULD safely rev it to 8K, but there's no power up there with stock cams. Anything more than that and you'll need solid lifters.

Hey, yeah thats nice info C-rad, and unless you have aftermarket cams there isnt much usable power past 7000 anyways.
