Ok here is my delma...

I just got my fwd ca18det pulsar. It needs work.. I know it did. What should I do..

Here is what the car has.....

CA18DET T25 turbo modified to T28 specs (hybrid)Stage 1 10psi Stage 2 18psi550cc injectorsFMICHad 320hp @ peak of its life.

Engine is blowing white smoke due to bad rings, and is misfiring from time to time.

My Goal...

Daily Driver~300hpReliableBuilt for 400+hp

So my question..

I can get full engine packages with under 80,000kms for $1400 delivered. Then sell the parts i dont need like rwd transmission, wiring harness, ecu etc...

A full rebuild (rings, honeing cyls, metal head gasket, head studs, head work , cleaning etc) will cost me at least that much.

A full rebuild of above peices + new cams, forged pistons, connecting rods and crank rebalancing will cost me even more.

Knowing my goals....and the fact its a FWD car, and I doubt ill run anything bigger than a t28 @ 15-18psi....

What do you guys who have big hp ca18dets recommend

thx doods !!!
