CA18DET rebuild kit? Is there one? Or what would I need to make one?

So, I was looking around the internet and on another forum I found this website

http://www.importperformanceparts.net

They offer rebuild kits for engines.

However I believe they only do USDM engines, so the CA18DET is not there :( But their prices seem REALLY good and everything.

So I set that as a rebuild kit price. What kind of things do I want to put into a rebuild kit? Trying to make about 350wrhp as a daily driver that's reliable here :D

use the ca18de one (pulsar nx se) it will be 99.9% identical (only thing that might be different is afew of the small gaskets between the idle air stuff on the manifold. I think FWD puts them in different places, but all the vital engine parts are IDENTICAL! Ryan (float_6969) has posted links to that site numerous times, so he might have ordered that kit:) Or just go to your Nissan Dealer. You can get all the parts I got to rebuild my motor for appx. $700

its on the intake manifold too, but the fwd and rwd manifolds are different... They might be the same, but thats the only thing I can think of that's different... CA18DE piston rings work too:)

I might be going new pistons + rings depending on the price :) I'm already looking to do Head Bolts, Cams, lifters, valve springs.

So the CA18DE kit should be okay? The only thing that won't work are the intake manifold and pistons? And maybe the water pump?

you're not talking about new stock cams, lifters, and valve springs are you? there's absolutely no need... hell, there's really no need for new stock pistons unless you really want to. stock stuff is BEEFY on these motors:)

I've got bad rings, and all I'm going to do is replace the rings, rod bearings, and headgasket. I plan on then shooting of for 275-300hp and I won't even be close to the limits of this motor.

No no no no...

I was talking aftermarket...but if the stock pistons are beefy enough...it'll just be aftermarket cams, a soild lifter and new valve springs :)

But now I need cooling, a radiator and oil cooler should be enough I hope...

ok good... you wouldn't believe some of the threads I've seen in the SR section. Some dude wanted to know EVERY part on the motor that could be replaced so he could go to Nissan and order them all :rolleyes... sounds like you have a good plan though:) cams, solid lifters, and valve springs are a good investment!

Every part number, so he could like what? order the pieces and build a new engine? lol...

But I just want to make sure that rebuild kit should be okay? Then I'll just pick up Jun/Tomei cams, valve springs, solid lifters, and a metal head gasket. What comp ratio do I want? BTW? Goal is around 300-350rwhp. Please know this isn't happening for about another year, and I'm just planning my budget to see what prices could be.

Usually when rebuilding, it's the barrings and the seals that go...hopefully that'll work :)
