Hi All,

Would like to ask for opinion on this mod --> (CA18DET + RB25 T3 turbo)

An internally stock CA18DET.

Parts modified are:- - Lighten flywheel, 5 pucks clutch - Tuned length exhaust manifold - Straight flow exhaust piping - Stock T25, running on low boost 0.7bar & high boost 0.9bar - Nismo 2way LSD - Split Fire ignition coils - Open pod filter - Large size FMIC - Works FPR - Stock injectors - Re-chipped ROM - Lighten pulley

I've bought a RB25DET turbo (T3 - 45V4) and T2-T3 adapter flange thinking of bolting on it to my CA18DET...

I'm not sure if the fuel is enough to feed in even after I increase the fuel pressure ??

Anyone can help to advise a lil........

search this has been covered before.......

RB25 T28(ish) turbos are eh. weak internals, weak output, much better options out there(specially so you dont have to use an adapter)

Yes....Rb turbos suck...but if you had to use one the RB25 single would be the one....but not much more than 12lbs boost or the ceramic turbine blade becomes stressed.

Get a S14 T28 (GT28R) turbo, it can get you CLOSE to 300whp with supporting mods and if its tuned right. Good for around 17-18 PSI. And a direct bolt on with new lines, clocking the turbo and thats it.

it is a straight T3, and i ran one for a long time and at 12psi, i was beating up on SR guys with potatos running 15psi.... its not a BAD choice if you are on a big budget as they can be gotten cheap (hell ive got parts for 3 sitting in my spare parts turbo tray) but definitely better to save some cash and get a real turbo.

another downfall is a 6 bolt exhaust flange on the back of the turbo, usually requires a custom downpipe...

that was mine, i put it on there cause i had it laying around from my buddies RB25 NEO and i wanted to get my car mobile.
