Hello,

I've been searching the forums for the past 3 days since I paid for my CA18DET swap. There are a few question that I have now since I search the forums that I didn't think of till I saw them. Some post answered my questions like the SR wiring is the same for the CA but there are still a few unanswered questions:

1. which one of the KA (sohc or dohc) Throttle body was an upgrade for the CA? (it was never answered)

2. Anybody save or have the info about the conversion for the KA24E powersteering line to work with the SR swap on sr20.hybrids.jp ? the website is down and I didn't get to save it.

3. what is the modification needed (the 30sec of dremaling) to the clutch plate? I also read that I could swap to the SR flywheel and clutch but the thread was vague on this. I had my eye on a Fidanza SR20DET flywheel

4. I have been looking for the Code 34 Fix or how to hook up the knock sensor but have been unsuccessful in finding it. does anyone have a direct link to the thread?

5. how much of the hard line for the heater hose needs to be trim to reroute the heater hose?

6. do I need to upgrade the fuel pump for CA18DET now? I will eventually change over to a 255L walbro pump tho.

I think I have more question but can't think of it right now. Thanks for the help.

1. DOHC

2. No clue, I did mine into a 91

3. SR cluth and flywheel won't fit. You can do SR bellhousing and CA transmission, but not just the clutch fw combo.

4. Good luck. The thread seems to be lost in the move Talk to slw240 or anyone else in CA general for that.

5. None. I just cut the soft hose for the upper connection. Bottom one, once rerouted, works fine as it is.

6. I upgraded to be safe. It is a good idea, although it can be run w/ the KA pump. STOCK.

Thanks Rico, I'm going to upgrade to a Walbro 255L pump

for the heater hose if I want to close it off would it be possible to just take a piece of hose and stick it from outlet to the inlet of the engine? Or will I need to connect it to the heater core? I know I wont have heat but I was just wondering.

anyone have insturction to hook up the Knock sensor?

Why don't you want to hook up the heater core? At the very least it gives your cooling system more (much needed) volume.

I'm going to hook up the heater core. I need heat in the winter, I'm tropical people I don't like it too cold. I was just wondering if thats possible? Is that how it works or does it need to be hooked up?
