hi all,I have an s13 with a ca18det, the thing is that when I start the car it starts normally without any problems, I drive around with it without any problems, but if i stop somewhere and turn the car off than try to turn it back on it doesn't start, if i let it sit for like 10 min than it starts. Now i thought that it might be overheating and checked the temp constantly but it seems good all the time. really need your help on this one.

we could use your help on info on the car?

what have you done to it? what upgrades have you made?

my first guess would be a bad ground to the battery and it isnt charging properly, but it is just a guess as you havent told us much of anything.

Water temperature sensor! Start there and please check the codes on your ecu as that can help us help you.

I havent made any upgrades to the engine its stock, about the water temp sensor, i bought a new one and replaced the old and also check if its wires were good. gonna look for someone that can check the ECU codes for me. if there is any more info you need about the engine tell me and I'll answer cuz I'm not sure what more i can tell you.

You don't need anyone to check your ecu as you can do it yourself. The procedure is in the stickies and all over this forum, but I'll explain it to you in the shortest form: 1. Remove ecu from stock location, 2. Turn ignition switch to on an both the red and green light should be illuminated on your ecu, 3. There's a dial next to those lights that should be turned clockwise with a flathead screwdriver, 4. The lights will start flashing and when they have flashed 3 times, imediately turn the screw back counterclockwise and wait for the lights flash to flash your trouble codes. For example: red light flashes once and the green light flashes 3 times= code 13. Good luck...
