Yes folks, just what the title says. My friend with the CA18DET powered sentra towed the car to my house today because it wouldn't start for him. I solved the starting problem with a jump, but the car ran like it had a melted piston or two. So I did a compression test and the #1 cylinder had 60psi (Very bad, I thought) and all others had around 155psi. I knew it wasn't a blown headgasket and it couldn't have been a piston because I put a baseline tune in his computer that will basically let him have fun and not blow-up his engine.

The only thing I could think of was rinse-down. So I oiled the cylinder, did a few other repairs, let the car run for a while, and then took a for a drive to the dry cleaners. At about 15psi and modestly tuned, the GT35R showed why it is such a potent turbocharger. And coupled with the awesome header he had custom made, the car just put a smile on my face. And even though his clutch is slipping horribly, it stills moves with authority. It's already a low 12sec car and it hasn't been tuned or aligned yet. Sorry to bore you all, but I had to get that off my chest .

I dont mean to be entirely harsh, but does every post you make have to be about you trying to show that you are the CA master?

Post some pics at least.

The car's been sitting at his place because it wouldn't start and he said he wouldn't touch it until I got done with my training (Time lapsed=4 months). Unfortunately, his car being at my house this time wasn't for pics or video, but for minor repairs and to make it run again. If he wants to make video of his car hauling-@ss on the streets, he can but I can not and will not. And besides, his car is not quite ready for video just yet, but it will be soon enough. And again if he wants to post pics of HIScar, nothings stopping him.

What in the hell is your problem? And if you paid attention to this forum, you'll see that most of my posts are to help members in one way shape or form. With a childish quote like that, you sound like a hater. What have you contributed? Let's see some video of your car, please! And where do you get off talking crap about me trying to show that I'm some CA master? I never titled myself as such, but I do know enough about the CA and see no need to validate my efforts and experience to an @ss like you! If you don't have anything nice to say, keep your fingers off the keyboard. This is an otherwise decent forum for people to learn and we will not tolerate haters.

And if you were playing, you don't know me well enough to try me like that.

Wow, was that necessary?

Just FYI, if you start a sentence with, "I don't mean to be entirely harsh, but..." you are being harsh and you are going to piss somebody off.

Kinda seems like common sense to me. I'm not saying you can't voice your opinion, just don't be surprised when you make somebody mad.

Everything you post seems to have some sort of "and I know it wasn't this, because I did that". Lets see some pictures of your stuff! Thats all I want. By the way, that was COMPLETELY UNECESSARY for you to have the system EMAIL ME the replies to this thread, I did NOT request that emails be sent to me regarding this topic, or any other on this forum.

And PLEASE stop using the word "hater", what are you? A 13 year old crunk lovin' kid?

I didn't realize you were so interested in what I post. You obviously don't know me and let's leave it at that. Quote »Lets see some pictures of your stuff! Thats all I want. By the way, that was COMPLETELY UNECESSARY for you to have the system EMAIL ME the replies to this thread, I did NOT request that emails be sent to me regarding this topic, or any other on this forum.
Assumption is the mother of all f***-ups and you did just that. You foolishly assumed I did that because? If you really want to see pictures or video of things I do, you would've been paying attention to things that I post, especially the ones telling some you young Jits to search and stop expecting people to give you what you want because you need it then and there (It don't work that way).

Quote »And PLEASE stop using the word "hater", what are you? A 13 year old crunk lovin' kid?
Hate is what it is and you obviously got a fever for it. The next time if you want to know something and you're too sorry to search the forum or google the information you seek, do what some of you do best and just ask somebody. I mean why work for what you want when you're so use to getting it without the effort.

I've been working on CA engines for over half your life and your sorry butt come here and talk about wanting to see my stuff when it's all over the internet, son, you are lazy! You really should've just asked someone else instead of running-off at the finger tips.

AFAIK, we don't have the power to do that as Moderators. The only way to subscribe to a thread would be to logged in as you, and either click on the "email me all replies to this topic" option when you create a post, or to click on the "subscribe" button at the top of this thread. Either way, you'd still have to be logged in as you.

Moderators don't have that much "power".
