Hard to tell with this little info but these older ca18's had problems with the dist module that would go open when hot. If this is the case it should restart when it cools down. Also check the harnesses that run along the top of the engine and along the back of the firewall for breaks or bad connections by wiggling the harness when trying to start the car. The running rich could be coolant temp sensor but is more likely caused by your lack of ignition.

well ill let you know when i find out nijak84, this is a ca18 im buying this weekend and its not starting... but i think i can get this fixed for fairly cheap.. but the guy selling an i both think it could be the install wiriing or an ignition problem im leaning towards the ign amplifier my self but it could be any thing the motor has i belive 55000 on it so im sure its still alright

actually its not even starting any more i havent seen the motor myself im goin up this week somtimes to check it out an then pick it up. ive got some friends to help me diagnose it and well probably end up pulling it an rewiring the harnesses an starting from scratch to see if its just in the wiriing... or maybe its the DET sensor, but we all suspect bad ign chip wiring

Just a suggestion.... but maybe you shouldn't buy it before you know what's wrong....
