One from the SOHC KA will work.

SOHC KA MAFS will work, but it'll be right @ idle and will eventually foul the plugs. It will get the car started and running though.

when i was reading about on this forum, i saw some where that the single cam ka maf was not the one to use. i'm looking for as close to oem replacement as possible. or how to correct problem. i found out that the wiring done by the previous owner was not done right. i fixed it and plug an sr20det maf up. car started and ran but runs rough, almost seems lean.what is the best possible replacement for it. if you have any part numbers or suggestions i'm open to all. i saw one maf on ebay ca18det maf, but i'm a little unsure if i should get it. i perfer to buy parts from a locallive body, vs the net and not being able to get money back part isnt right. i got this car as a trade for a blown rx7 2nd gen.... everything was there buy maf and exhuast. 93 hatch back.

AFAIK, the SOHC KA MAFS is the closest thing. Like I said though, it'll make the car run rich @ idle, and lean in the top end. The top end is rich anyway, so it'd probably help power anyway since it'll lean it out, but the rich idle just fouls the plugs.

This is all something that can easily be fixed by a SAFC.

this a multi color white S13? or a black primer S13?

locally there arent much out there that have CAs....... any maf + SAFC will correct your issues w/ proper in/out settings or an Eprom tune.

i know this post was old but wanted to update it. i ended up using an sr20 maf with an apexi neo. both which were just about gifted. maf was free and neo was $25-love being a chic. works great now. i'm currently now changing the timing belt i noticed it was dry rotting. sucks a little, but far as everything goes its a happy car now. used part number t137- timing belt from napa. only place that had it in stock advance auto is getting slack in their parts. thanks for all the help!

thanks, i actually got luck with this car... traded a 2nd gen blown rx7 for a incomplete build... just needed a maf, exhaust, tires, and to properly route the piping for the front mount. lol it was awesome steal. its not my first choice motor though to be honest i have always wanted to play with a ka-t build but since my first nissan was only last year and was a pearl s13 coupe. -miss her sniff- but i figured this wasnt a bad trade and would end in my favor and has... - once again being a chic rocks... exhaust was free. 3 inch pipe. trust/greddy down pipe. - i got se wheels with like new tires $100.. pretty happy about the whole thing..

na no struting ... the apexi all i did was call the guy and ask about the neo and he was all like girl like you is rare and told me $25 his asking price was a quite abit higher on craigslist... my exhaust came from a guy at nissan dealership all he ever saw me was covered head to toe in grease an 10mm wrench on my key chain lol -guess that might of been hot idk. but yeah its pretty cool.. i tell all my friends if they want parts lemme know b/c i get better deals lol only down fall is some guys are a-holes and try to scam alot .but i love having references at my finger tips lol.

I've gone down the KA-T road, and I still prefer the CA. Way better exhaust note, and much more fun to drive.

Oh, and how did you tune it, wideband? Dyno?
