I just got a CA18DET car that needed a fuel pump, intercooler, battery and turbo. The turbo is just blown. I replaced the fuel pump, put in a battery, connected intercooler piping from the throttle body to the turbo elbow and connected the maf/intake to the lower opening on the turbo. When I turn the car on with the maf connected it starts RIGHT UP and Idles fine for 20 or so seconds then dies down. If i start it with the maf unplugged it's a little harder to start because i have to give it some gas but once its on it will idle fine for as long as I want it to. But the usual case is... when I try to drive it and give it gas it just starts cutting out. (obviously because the maf is unplugged). Does anyone have any ideas what it could be. I checked the wiring and it is fine. BTW it's the CA harness to KAE maf on an all stock motor. Any help would be appreciated.

W/ the maf unplugged, it should cut out at 2k rpm always.

Also if you've double checked the wiring and most certain that its correct, try another maf that works for sure.

Or maybe your fuel pump wasn't installed correctly??
