Hey I'm sure most of you CA guys know I need a longblock, but does anyone know where I can get one? Hey TMS how about you send me one;) just pull it all apart and send me the pieces individually!

But seriously who can get me a long block and what should I be expecting to pay...I got my old one for $400 (and I see why it was so cheap now :rolleyes )but I'd like to know a rough estimate on prices...I don't need a clip or a motor set so don't say dauntt or venus or whatever is usually said when people ask where can I get a CA...

Mike (with the blue CA fastback) mentioned SOKO (Soshin) had them for $500 but Paul got his first engine from them and it blew up when he started it! Mike also mentioned some place in Mirimar, FL but I can't think of the name right now?(I wrote it somewhere...)

Boost where do you get your engines from? How much for (or could they even get me) a long block? I was hoping somewhere in the $500-$600 range if at all possible!

Thanks,Sean

I have a guy that has a pulsar with CA18DET that's knocking inquire about it and a built clutch set and I told him $400 for the engine, but no exchange of cash yet! The place in miramar is really in hallandale and the name is prolink! He's kind of expensive, but he has a CA18DET with a mines ECU and he thinks the world of the CA18DET and looks down on those who chose the SR20 over the CA18. I can find out how much for you if you want me to. The RWD units are scarce as is the FWD ones because the demand is almost down to me and a couple of others, but importers sometimes bring them in just to see how they move.

what needs to be done? I'm going to talk to libero about either keeping the manifolds or buying them back from them after they finish inspecting the engine.

The locals here (paul and ray) have enough parts between them (block, head, pistons, rods, etc...) to build an engine (basically) but no manifolds! Do you think you could get your hands on some rwd manifolds if Libero won't sell me mine back?

I don't want to screw the pulsar guy that's interested so, let's see how he plays. I've given him the quote on shipping and the cost of his clutch set, so it's his move now. I didn't want to take swap the squirters out of that motor because I didn't want the extra work. So let's play this one by ear and I'll keep you posted as well as get that quote for you.

The guy that posts CA stuff to include the engine that's on there nowthat's lives in Miramar, but I know him directly. I told him to bring in more RWD units because the CA community is growing.
