I have a ca in my s13 and i use it to commute to and from connectucut from vermont every weekend... i kno it sounds nuts, well it is. i was driving about 230 miles into my 350 mile journey to vermont and my engine started making lifter noises and within 10-15 seconds it blew. there was no oil leakage and no oil on the dipstick. I check my oil regurlarly and my engine does not burn oil usually. also the tailpipe did not smell like burnt oil, though the dipstick did. I think the bearings definetly are defenetly spun and the sidewalls might be ugly too (i hope not) cams probly toast from the way they sounded on the lifters. I should have pulled over right away but i saw a sign for parking next right and foolishly thought i could make it. I am going to pull the head off tomorrow after class (full time student) and ill post up what i see. pics too if i can get a digital camera
Any Ideas of what happened would be great as it came as a total suprise to me.
thanks
