pardon me for how i came out with this question but i was reading in some of the more recent posts made by users reguarding ca18's in s13 chassis. One of the members stated that his t28 w/ aftermarket 02' housing did not fit and hit the steering rack & box?? anyhow, i just wanted to gather you forum'ers together and have a group discussion reguarding this matter... i just want to explain what i am using and YOU, if possible tell me if this problem applys to me-

Stock ca manifold and 02 housing w/ sr greddy mx 3" downpipe.. i have not fitted the downpipe yet nor swapped the motor but i wanted to retrieve this info before i become further more confused about how to use sr downpipes....

so i have read that you just have to cut the flange and turn it, then re-weld the flange back to the downpipe and it should fit ie " fitment ussue solved" IS THIS TRUE FACT? and if so can anyone provide pics reguarding the flange alteration..

and last question... has to do with sr t25/28 w/aftermarket 02 housing and sr downpipe fitment issues... does this exist, and if so what can be done to fix it...

any info and help would be great, i am just trying to get this info covered before the swap, and before i swap turbo's so i knoe what to expect..

i tried looking this info up through SEARCH, and it WAS covered but was not explained too well so yeah, if you could, can you explain why these problems exist and what can be done to fix it.. k thanks NICO heads..

You need an SR O2 housing to use the SR downpipe.

it doesn't fit right on that other car because he was using that crappy ssautochrome o2 housing. alot of SR guys have fitament problems with their stuff as well. if you buy stuff that fits an SR it will fit your CA just fine. I am using an aftermarket o2 housing, and a stock SR downpipe with an SR turbo with zero problems...

My ProjectSilvia SR O2 housing and downpipe ever so slightly hit the frame rail. No real biggie.

OK, if you use the CA O2 pipe and the SR downpipe, the upper flange needs turned. If you use an SR O2 pipe then the SR downpipe doesn't need changed. As for Rico's clearance problems, I believe he's using the SSAutochrome tubular manifold and downpipe. They aren't the most awesome from what I hear. I got the tubular manifold from them, but it's cheaper than anything else and my stock cast mani was cracked. We'll see what happens...

The manifold is on the floor of my room and like I said right above you Ryan, I have a ProjectSilvia O2 housing and downpipe. They discontinued the O2 housing. It is in the GReddy style. http://www.projectsilvia.com
