I have recently replaced my Headgasket, did a full timing belt service, and got a 3-angle valve job done on my ca. The car was running really well after completing the work and now I am having a problem. The car is idling a little erratically, and at about 10% throttle I am getting a hesitation from the throttle response. At full throttle or even heavy throttle, the car is running really well. The problem is only when I am maintaining lower speeds in whatever gear I am in (like freeway speed in 5th or neighborhood speed in 2nd).

I am getting a different o2 readout from my Apex Turbo Timer- it used to read .36 at idle and now it is reading like 2.xx. I recently installed a stereo in my car, it didnt have one before, and a lot of different electronics started working again (like my dash clock, the overhead lamp, door chime). I dont think this has anything to do with the problem but I am just providing as much information as possible.

Thank you, any help is appreciated.

Does it always hesitate, any difference when the engine is hot or cold?

How long did it run well following the repairs?

Checked the plugs yet?

I just changed my plugs. I am thinking it is any of the following:Vacuum LeakDirty MAFOr something that controls the idle- either the TPS or the Air Idle Control Valve

Let me know if anything like this sounds familiar.

Thanks
