I just have to marvel it :yesnod I bought a bare head n have never had one apart n it's been my first time looking at the insides to see what makes a CA what. Comparing the SR head and the CA head I see why I like the CA head alot more. Just the beauty of the hydraulic lifters in each of their holes built in over the valves. Cams keep everything in place, it's no wonder a CA cant hit high rpms with no issues. The SR on the other hand has floating rockers and the hl's are to the left or right side of the valves depending on the side of the head but with nothing to prevent them from flying alllll over the place when you rev too high. There's only one benefit, the SR head I can take apart in 3 minutes hl's rockers n all supppper easy. CA have to take individual covers off then cams and then have access to the hl's and valves.
But man all in all I just wanted to give props t the engineers who designed the CA head, the funniest part is they are using that same design in the newest 1.6-litre DIG-T motors, long live CA technology! CA FTW :mike

If you like the CA head, you should see an FJ head. Same bucket lifters, and only 1 valve cover! I do not like the FJ's cam chain though and the cam gears on an FJ are so small, it would be really hard to fit adjustable cam gears.
