Are you sure about that? Does your transmission have a locking differential? If you are using the CA18DE's transmission, you have an
RS5F50A. If you are using a FWD transmission attached to the old CA18DETs, you have an RS5F50A, both having open differentials which means "peg leg" which means only one wheel transfers the power to the ground. I run a heavily modified RS5F50V hybrid transmission which does have a locking differential which also had to be made from scratch.

MDB4879 is correct in the fact that the RS5F50 series trannies don't need much upgrading. The have an excellent final drive ratio and if you got some real power, you can see just what we are talking about.
