i am looking for a ca18det FRONT CLIP not just the motor/transmission swap in a box. but i am having a hard time finding one, so far the only place i have found is phase 2 but i would also like to see some other places, to keep options open, so if you guys could please help me out by giving me some places that i can find-order a clip from. thanks

yeah, but you get so much other junk with a clip. i replaced the tension rods on my car with the ones on my clip, as well as some bushings and junk. and it made it really easy to see where everything goes. oh, and my clip cost less than your motorset. dont quote me on that though.

it doesnt look like he is in a place with lots of other ca guys, so a clip might be better as he could do the swap himself relatively easily. you also dont have the hassle of missing stuff. shipping sucks though.

try http://www.jarcoinc.com or the j-hot website. they are the best for clips i do believe, unless dee can hook you up or something.

i agree with NeedCAforS13, motorset>clip. you really don't need the rest of the car for anything. and when your done with it, its a PITA to get rid of the carcass.

I got a clip and I wish I hadn't. It was a lot more work and I seriously think I could have done it with out it

I'm with the mob, why entertain a carcass of useless car? I mean, you're going to have to modify the harness, you can't use the A/C lines and a few other things I don't want to mention. So why stick your self with extra shipping charges, extra work, and all for a meager 151whp. Go buy and engine set and go from there. You can use the remainder of the money for upgrades.

Clip it is for you! Don't say you haven't been warned. Why do you guys buy these engine sets and quickly say you wanna rebuild? You may as well go to junkyard, buy a pulsar's CA18DE, and build it. Buy the harness and crap seperately. The amount of money you guys spend on a motorset warrants you to just do a water pump change and possibly a timing belt and just drive the dang thing till it breaks. And if some would stop trying to run 15+psi on a stock fuel system, you'll find that the CA can hold up for a very long time (My $0.20).
