Ca18det back from the dead...

So where do I start off. so one year ago my girl took the s13 to work, and she called me and said the car wouldn't start. So we towed the car home and let it sit for a year. In the years while is was sitting I was trying to figure it out . First thing I did was check the cas. What I mean by checking is that I pulled the cas out with the connector still on the cas with the key on no start and spin the cas to make sure my injectors was working and that I was getting spark. I hear the injectors clicking and I also checked a resistor for the injectors with a multimeter and it checked out good and there's spark I can see it, because I pulled one of the coil and putted an extra spark plug to make sure there's spark. So that's good that I have fuel and spark. Next I checked was the ecu , I was thinking maybe a bad solider was bad in the ecu and grab another ecu from the forum and was no different , checked for codes and it came 55 mean it's good. Then I double checked my wire harness with a multimeter and it checked out good. It sucks because I'm the only person in my area that only own a ca and everybody else I know own sr20. But I didn't give up. So one day out of the blue , I'm like let me check my timing belt. Since I been doing timing belts on my friends and customers from them beating on thier cars non stop, that the timing jump.then I was thinking I never checked my timing belt and I did everything else ,so on Monday I got home from work and pulled the timing cover off, guess what? My timing jump in/cam was at 8'o clock and my ex/cam was at 12'o clock on tdc, because the ridge on the belt was wearing slow off ,maybe from the drift event and drag stripe, it was also our DD,fml. I was hoping no valves were bent from me trying to start it from before. So I marked and lined up the belt to make sure it was the belt and see if it would start , guess what!!!! ? It started right up , I was jumping and screaming lol. I was so happy to hear my little ca back from the dead. So I just order a new gate belt for my ca and get her ready for this year drift event/drag stripe. The reason why I let it sit was because I got my driver License revoked for 3 years and I wasn't in a rush to fix her , if I rushed I would of just drove it and got in trouble again lol. But I paid all my fine and got my permit last Thursday and my road test April 14.I was so excited of getting my drive license back that I was motivated to get my s13 running again and I did , it runs and drive . So for all the ca18det owners don't give up.

We all been throw it , but once you get it running, they are really good motors.i could of just got an sr20 like everybody else , but I didn't. So Double Check everything, before giving up.
