Got my car back from the shop, apparently the KA lives to explode another day. It needed a new h2o pump, and now start/runs fine. If it wasn't 16 degrees out and snowing, I woulda done it myself.

The mechanic had no explanation on why the engine did not turn over. I could not figure it out either. Perhaps the KA has an overheat sensor that shuts itself off. He is a good mechanic too, btw.

May be back in the near future asking about CA shipping

I may just buy a gold 89 coupe for sale at a dealership nearby, if the condition is good.

If not, I will continue wrestling with the CA vs KA24E-T debate in my head.

THere won't be anymore till the beginning of January. I'm willing to take reservation, but I also encourage all of you that need a motorset to try our sponsors or inquire with other reputable importers as well.
