Just something to put out there to see a show of interest! People who want CA18DET engines readily equipped with a custom manifold and T3/T4 of your choice delivered as would a regular CA18DET motorset. This is more of a wish list, but one that's not impossible. I'm hearing too many people wanting to upgrade, but with limited resources. Has anyone contacted some of our sponsors to see if they are interested in creating these custom parts for the CA community (Sean, Ryan, mad). I can get the hook-up, but time will be a major issue. Feel free to respond to this one as the standard T25 is a major tease.

The problem with getting a shop to do it is that they will add about $1k on to the price... and not the good nico shop hook up price, the price they would charge you for the parts alone so you are paying probably about 1500-2000 more than you need to for an upgraded turbo setup and all. And like someone said before... most of us ca guys are DIY'ers... ill find the quote in a little bit.

I've been in contact with Harp at TakaMotorsports for the past few weeks getting a little R and D done to make a set of CA specific oil/water lines for us instead of gerry-rigging up a set of SR ones.

He seems real interested in doing in, just send him over some emails and we can probably get this thing off the ground quicker.

I figure about $1200 is nominal which will include a steel braded oil line. $1500-$2000 is for a stainless steel manifold and that puppy is down right expensive.

i got everything but injectors and a few odds and ends soon to be chasing down 400hp.

most of us are DIY but there are those people getting into the CA that have some money many dont have time or knowledge to get all the obscure parts we have to search for

Or even better, those who got the bread to play with can always take a trip to Miami and bring me your desires and a nice chunk of money. You want 400whp, quickly accomplished. You want 500whp, quickly accomplished. You want 300whp, can be done on your current set-up, but I need to bless your motor and we all will cross our fingers. Anything is possible, but DIYers seem to be the more cheaper of the bunch and haven't been paying much attention to what it will take for them to reach their final destination. And believe it or not, it's not that expensive to pay someone like me to make your monster more monsterous, especially if you don't like to get your hands dirty. DIYers rule, but pay-boys get there's done in a timely/professional manner and sometimes gets better results. I for one am a DIYer, so i'm not tripping on no one. I say pay for the upgrade now and save yourself the headache later because most CA18 owners will want that upgrade.
