ca18det engine issues

i have a ca18det with stock everything pretty much stock maf, ecu, injectors, etc expect gt28rs turbo, fmic, new spark plugs, TRE 255 LPH fuel pump..

in idle the car runs pretty good.. idles great. when i go to drive it.. once boost starts to kick in the car lags and looses all power.

You need three things for combustion, fuel, air, and spark. I assume your boost gauge confirms you are getting air so that leaves the other two. Likely either your spark is weak or your fuel is tapering off.

sounds like a coil pack issue.

though I would check out the FPR.

mm which fpr should i use if it is that?.. the one from the ca18de (88 pulsar) or ca18et (86 200sx), and do you think it would be the coil packs or ignitor that would cause it?

all FPRs are the same, just make sure you get one with a nissan fitting (little adapter)

my coil packs always caused this, but theoreticly your ignitor could do this too. time to start testing things. might also want to check out to make sure you are getting proper oil to your snail.

What boost are you running with that turbo? You're probably maxing out your injectors and maf if that turbo is a true GT28rs Garrett "disco potato" turbo.

stock boost. got a manual boost controller all the way on the lowest setting.
