CA18DET engine in Tiger E1

Hi;Who can help me? I have put an engine CA18DET in a Tiger E1 chassis (SUPER7). It works very well and is fast but i have 2 problems.1: is when i drive full gas there is about 4.000rpm a back fire.when i drive half gas until I pas 4.000rpm and than full gas up to 6.000 rpm no problem.Or as long i stay under 4.000rpm also no problem.

Has anywhone an idea??

2: The signal from the vehicle speed sensor is not the signal that i need for my VDO speedometer in my dashboard. The signal from the gearbox is in Hertz.

Welcome to the CA section. I am not good with motors but can I please ask that you please post some pics of your car? I love the super7's I see around here in Germany.

sounds like its running too rich. you might want to check your plugs and see if any look strange, as you might have a stuck injector or something. i second the pictures. i absolutely love catheram sevens.
