Hmm this seems really awesome I'm trying to tune my CA for 444CC Injectors and a Z32 MAF, but I have a Blitz Access ECU and I can't seem to find a cable or a program that will work with it...any suggestions??

^Buy/borrow a emulator and get it street tuned in an hour... Check moates.net for the ostrich2. Worth every penny.

Also, check out ca18det2.escic.com for CA bin files and the latest version of Live Edit.

So plz all you tuning guru's helpppp : ]

You don't have to tune for anything you listed except the N60.

If you want to tune for the others stuff (exhuast, FMIC) then you better get to the dyno.

Just download a .bin for N60 MAF and stuck injectors. or do it yourself.

Too bad most of the links in this thread are dead... A lot of my google searches have brought me back here which leads to a dead end.

If anyone has the info or maps, I'd really like to get a few to look at.

This is not free, but it is the best way to do it somewhat cheap, quick and easy :

get a nistune board. It comes will a great software that will do a lot of work by just choosing items from menus, and it allows real time modding. much, much better. I used romeditor at first, but i got tired of losing my time buring eproms.

wideband O² sensor, nistune, netbook, you may add an AGT sensor, and there you go.

basically, the hard job is finding the injector latency value and the right timing. The easiest way is ... to get a stage 1 chip. It already contains a fine tuned ignition map (the oem one is very conservative, you will have a hard time to make it better, so save some time, avoid risking det, get one).

assuming the VE/VQ map is already good, and the injectors are good and clean too -avoid venom crap (it is a guideline, i wont tell exactly because knowledge in this area is value): Here is how i search injector latency: set a fuel map with 14.7 AFR everywhere, with an estimated latency (bigger injector => bigger latency, just apply a rule of 3 here ).Calculate the K value (again, rule of 3) and fine adjust it so your AFR gauge reads 14.7 on idle. Until you have a smooth idle, keep adjusting K and latency. Then, give the engine some revs, and fine tune latency and K value accordingly. As your map is set with 14.7, it should ALWAYS show this value. If it goes lean, latency is too low; rich : latency is too high. Adjust latency and K again, and so on.

Once K and latency are good, you can set a real fuel map. Once again, get one from a stage 1 chip, they are quite nice.

I stopped using premade stage chips directly because i got weird results on my car and on another one, although it was ok with others. The mixture was 2 points too lean, i had to change K and latency a lot, even with standard injectors. I checked everything (fuel pump, FPR, fuel pressure, fuel filter, fuel pickup...) and there was no reason for this but still, it happened.

so you're saying to get a Stage 1 Chip to use the Timing and Injector Latency, then use the NIStune board for overall tuning?

I've been searching for how to install chips and what not but haven't really come up with anything.

Sorry, i explained poorly. Use a stage 1 chip to get ignition & timing maps. stage 2 & 3 chips are just the same maps with different VE/VQ maps to fit other MAFs, and different K and latency value to fit injectors. Unless you go the e85 route or if you change your cams, fuel and ignition maps will hardly change.

To get injector latency, use the method listed above.

To get the maps from a stage 1 chip ... buy one or ask someone to lend it, read it with an eprom reader, and load the maps in nistune :D

hmm, i wonder if someone who has a Stage 1 chip can and an eprom reader would be so nice as to post up the maps from the chip

I appreciate the response, nistune is very appealing and has already been a valuable resource for me as their base rom back has a lot of stock ca18det roms...

I have a pocket romulator and can reprogram the ecu countless times from my laptop. What is lacks when compared to nistune is the real time aspect.

I'm really interested in a Stage2/3 tuned rom, I have DSM 450cc injectors and z32 Maf. I've set a map to 14.7 and am narrowing down my K value already... it just takes more time without Nistune...

If you have a rom you can share with me, email me [email protected]

Send me an email (see above post), I have a Velislide .bin file you can look at.

I started another thread asking for bins... The bins Rafi posted aren't available anymore, I'm waiting on a domain name and will start hosting later...
