which code mean what? i know its a newb quetion

but i always thought code 78 was auto and code 79 was 5 speed

now im seeing ecu's advertised with code 65 and code 98

i was sent a tuned ecu that was said to be 5 speed, and has a code 78.

can anyone confirm this and let me know the differences.

yeah, theres also a code 64.In the case of the tuned ECU, dont pay any attention to what number it is, as whoever tuned the chip, most likely put a different setup on it anyway.

I do chips, and I have put new chips in most of the different ECU codes, for use with CA18DET 5speeds. ( ie, you can use a NA auto ECU, rechipped, on a DET 5 speed )
