while I was torching the crank gear off the CA my backing plate got destroyed ive searched for it everywhere but i cant find it does anyone know where to get one or if its even neccesary

Yes it is very much needed and the Nissan part # is 13022-42L00.

Without it you will lose your timing belt very quickly.
