I can't find clutches/flywheels anywhere for this motor- i've searched everywhere, i'm not sure where else to look

what is the compatibility of the CA18 from the pulsar to this motor? will the clutch and flywheel work? (I doubt it)

if anyone has any pretty good sources for parts, whether here, or foreign, please throw them up-

Thanks

KA clutch will work, there are tons available. You need to grind down an alignment pin or so I've heard. You can use an SR flywheel if you go through some hassle, you can lighten your stock flywheel, or you can buy a one from ebay when they come up.

yeah it looks like I'm gonna go with a Spec clutch and trying and find a flywheel elsewhere- That's not on the top of my list right now anyway-

Heads up: Do a search on SPEC clutches. They apparently blow. I have a sneaking suspicion my clutch is getting old, and I am looking at modding the flywheel and running an ACT 2600HD kit for a KA (6 puck). I have 2 friends with it and they love it.

just run a KA clutch. you can get really good KA clutches for real cheap, and they bolt right on (pull 1 allignment pin out of the flywheel with vice grips. takes all of 30 seconds ).

oh ok- i wasn't sure what had to be done- There is really no reason not to run a KA clutch, particularly an ACT clutch, because they have always been my favorite- I've had them in every every car i've owned and can't say a bad thing about them

I've heard of Centerforce clutches showing thier a$$ to folks (in the RX-7 community) but ACT has a solid name in any application circle, so I agree!

And folks say CAs are hard to shop for! FOOLS!

If you really want a CA18 clutch, you can do a special order from Japan.

Yeah, I was thinking of the centerforce dual friction... it's $229 from 240sxmotoring.com Holds 90% more torque over the stocker... Pedal feel isn't too heavy like the 2600 pressure plate on the ACT.

cuzan0 sells CA18ET clutches which are the same thing as a CA18DET. IN the $300 shipped range IIRC...

also, I'm unsure if the KA24E clutch works, as I have only personally used a twin cam KA24DE clutch myself. They both might work, but I'm only certain on the DE one

E and DE are exactly the same clutch for KA.

I am 100% sure of this.

how sure are you of this?? Is somebody currently running a ka clutch? does the ka flywheel match up too?

I am running a KA clutch... I thought I made that pretty clear, but I guess maybe not in this thread. They KA flywheel does not match up (different # of bolts holding it to the crank).
