Ok I understand there is a company that makes a CA specific clutch ( i dont remember) but Im not really interested in them. I would like more of an ACT or Clutchmasters brand. I know the disc is 225mm but has anyone found out a good pressure plate replacement. If you tell me KA then Ive already heard it as I have heard about the fact that you have to ream the holes a little. Also FLYWHEELS! I've searched and alot of the posts were in 03 or 04....they basically said there was no option other than getting your flywheel shaved. Is the info the same as before or has someone discovered a swapable flywheel?? -Gabe

I bolted up a ca18et clutch and pressure plate for an S12 w/o any problems. This goes to reason that the center forge dual friction clutch would work as well. That being said, I haven't driven the car yet as I'm still in the middle of my swap.

The flywheel won't work though, it's a 6 bolt, not an 8 bolt.

Why not use a CA18DE flywheel out of a pulsar or sentra?

We can, but they say nothing about making one for the ca, they do however make clutches for the ka.

Jun sells the flywheel your looking for. 12 lb.

From what I understand the CA18DET flywheel/clutch is bigger/wider than the DE. I checked on http://www.coximport.com and it does show a STOCK clutch from some company for the CA18DE but it also fits the 1.6liter which means its not the 225mm width.

The company that makes the CA specif clutch it SPEC. They have various Stages available. I'm currently running one and it's a decent clutch.

You've got the various clutches made for the KA-E available, but as you mentioned, you'll have to ream holes/remove alignment pins.

If you keep out a sharp eye, you can pick up a JUN flywheel on eBay like I did.

It's also rumored that you can use an SR flywheel (Fidanza) and clutch(multiple choices), with a Hitachi gear reduction starter from an S12 CA18ET, but AFAIK, only one member has tried it and I don't know how it's gone for him long term.

If in fact the S12 CA18ET clutch works from Center Force, then that would be a good choice.

This is gay! Are you serious? No stateside flywheel works? I think I still have an SR flywheel somewhere, I will have to put it next to the Ca one and check this, seems weird to me.

Nope, no stateside equivelant that we've found. All the ones that are the same diameter/toothcount are 6 bolt. The SR is the close to the same diameter IIRC, but it's off by like one tooth or something stupid. That's why you've got to use the hitachi gear reduction type starter. If you don't the nose cone on a regular starter catches on the pressure plate IIRC.
