Ok, so I decided to document my breakdown of my CA18DET sitting in my garage. This will take QUITE some time, as I work alot, and usually when I get home the last thing on my mind is getting into my crap clothes and ripping apart a motor, so you'll have to bear with me

11May05------------Work time: bout 15 minutes or so, got interrupted by a phone call and was called into work

So right now, were starting off with a fresh CA18, straight out of the car. My main concerns at the moment are getting the clutch, flywheel, and exhaust manifold down off, as I will use these pieces on my current vehicle.

Seen below is what the clutch + flywheel assembly on the motor. The clutch is held on by 6, 12mm bolts. Upon unbolting it, it may snag on alignment pins, just gently shake it off.

In case you didnt know what a clutch cover/pressure plate and clutch disc looked like, here is a photo of them.

A look at my flywheel, which will be taken down to a local machine shop to get resurfaced. I will do this so that my downtime on my car will be minimal, as there are no one day shops here in Germany that I know of.

It was at this point that I was called and had to jet to work to fix something or rather.

Anyway, stay tuned for more updates.
