So I searched for the KA bolt specs; 10x1.5 (coarse thread) and based on the lengths of bolts Nissan used for the KA bellhousing (25mm, 45mm, 60mm, 65mm, 70mm) and looking at EPP's picture (yes it did help, thank you) I feel confident in thinking the bolts in his kit are;

10x1.5mm pitch

3 x 25mm1 x 45mm2 x 60mm2 x 65mm2 x 70mm

Although.....on SXOC some people say a few of the bolts are 12x1.75 pitch. Can anyone confirm which of the bolts are the thicker ones?

thanks,

I'm pulling the engine this or next weekend, I'll be able to tell you, what I have in there. Hopefully what I have are still the stock ones... previous owner was kind of a cheap tinkerer.

Thanks man, sounds good. You will be doing the CA community a favor as I've found it impossible to get a straight answer for all the bolts.

We've pulled the engine yesterday, but it was 11pm by that time, so I couldn't measure all of them yet. There was one 80mm and one 90mm long, both had 20mm of thread length, and I think a 1.5mm pitch. But I'm pretty sure I'm missing one of the bolts on the left side. I'll make a comprehensive list of bolt sizes, length, thread pitches and thread lengths of all bolts, or at least of those I actually have, hopefully sometime this week.

Finally got around to posting this. This is what I have:
all bolts 1,5mm pitch

Code: Select all

head(mm)	Length		Thread Length
14			65			20
14			65			20
14			85			25
14 85 25	(this was for the starter mounting)
16			80			80
14			80			23

Plus two 17mm head 20mm length bolts for the plate to bellhousing, on of them 1.5mm pitch, like the rest, the other 1.25mm pitch (?, I know, I measured 3x).

This, though, is not very consistent with the FSM... so I guess, since the FSM only has the full bolt lengths, take those from there, and everything else from here.
