umm battery is a battery, the only difference is size, power outtage, terminals, cells etc etc. Just go in their and match the size and make sure its 12volt but to answer your question just tell them you have a 240sx 1992 just for the hell of it.

ya it will work as long as your intercooler piping doesn't interfere.

The S13 uses a 24 or 25 class battery. You can use whatever fits. I ran mine with a Ever Start (came with my car...crappy Wal-Mart battery), then switched to a Autocraft silver; both off the shelf for the S13. Now, I run a relocated Optima 75 class red top. Good stuff.

Just a thought. I'm using a lawn mower battery. Had it for about a year now. Starts great in 32 Degree weather and 98 degree weather. It's a cheap alternative to a miata battery, about $25, if you don't want to relocate to the trunk and you have fmic piping going through the battery tray.

that really runs the car fine? can you have a light on, or the radio playing for awhile, and it still start. I thought about a motorcycle battery but they're to low of amperage.

Hell ya it runs my car perfect. I also leave the radio on while installing gauges etc. for hours and the car cranks up fine when i go to turn it on. I think that battery died once the whole time i had it. I left the parking lights on for 8 hours while i was at work. I think even a normal battery would have been drained in that time. Others wise i have left my parkers on for 2-3 hours without an issue. As well as the radio for a good or hour or two again with no issue. Also runs and drives fine on a rainy night when i have the wipers, headlights, radio, electric fans, and a/c blower running. Not to bad for around $25 bucks and you don't have to relocate it to the back. If your worried and dont want to have to modify your harness get a miata battery otherwise Lawn mover battery from pep boys FTW!

*Note: The harness needs to be modified because the connectors aren't the seem as you can see in the picture i posted.

Not a bad idea.

I like the idea of a compressed mat cell battery though And I like the clean look of the battery in the trunk.

Plus, I bought my Optima for $20 with a 3 year warranty. Gotta love working for a parts house!

im using the one that came with my front clip back in '02. its a nippon denso GS. same size as a lawnmower battery, but its open cell so i can keep bringing it back from the dead. on that note, it has never once failed me. 2k watt stereo, heater, lights, you name it. it takes so little to turn over one of these engines, you can really use anything you want. best part is it mounts in the stock location and doesnt interfere with the intercooler pipe that runs through the battery tray.
