It's been a while since I've posted. I had twins last year so the car has been on the burner for a while. So I decided to pull the engine from my hatch and drop it in a coupe. I did a few things to the top end but nothing major. The car started and ran good for a couple test runs up and down the street. I had to hook up my guages and timer to make sure everything was good, then my car started running rough. I checked the voltage and it was only 12.9-13.2 I decided to pull the alternator and check it out. Well needless to say I screwed it up(Some things should not be DIY lol). Anyway, I had a ka24de alternator and tried the front cover trick. The bearings are not the same size and the holes don't match up? If anyone has really done this please help.

Get your CA alt. rebuilt. Phil said his front swapped alternator didn't last long.

its hard to find a place that will rebuild it good. I got one rebuilt and the voltage regulator died about a year later so im running around on a used 20 year old alternator again The place that rebuilt the other one did such a good job of making it LOOK brand new, as all the cases were sand blasted and lightly oiled.....very nice job on the surface, such a shame.

Well I got it figured out. I have the KA alt on. I made a custom bracket. I took pictures and will do a right up asap. Don't worry it's not hack! You will still be able to use your factory tensioner

Here you go zer...t-rwd
