Have a ca18de n/a 5spd silvia, was running 6 months ago sweet.. Waterpump failed and I lost license for 6 months so its been off the road for about 8 months now.....
I Originaly pulled out crank case, timing belt old waterpump.. Swapped in new waterpump (hasn't leaked coolant since in) new timing belt and bearings... So I think when I first put tbelt on it was a tooth out somewhere because it wasn't running the same...
So now this last month I've had the timing belt on and off about 25 times (no joke) trying to get it right, even had my phone out recording the positions of crank and cams to make sure 100% they were lined up which I thought they were..( even advanced intake cam 3/4 of a tooth to compensate for tensioning)
Started the car in morning and it will fire over rev to about 14/1500 rpm, then dies down to stalling
This is a low down of what I've done so far..
Timing belt replaced
New battery
New plugs (ngk 7121 bcpr6es-11)
Changed coil packs with anther spare set I had
Changed CAS with spare I have
s*** Auto pod filter
Swapped AFM with spare
New coolant temp sensor
Had new thermostat alloy rad and alloy overflow put in but had pressure problems due to wrong radiator cap, changed cap but hAvnt been able to idle car long enough to get to any temperature that needs to be cooled..
Swapped throttle body with a spare I had still nothing
Reason why I swapped TB was the accelerator cable wouldn't allow the TB to fully close when foot is off the accelerator pedal causing it to constantly gain revs when idling
Ecu throwing code 55 at me so I am really stuck out of ideas on what to do..other than burning the f*** and be done with it lol
Any help would be great thanks any1 who read it
