Ok so my CA I got had the hicas pump on it. I have a SOHC car so at the time of install I didn't care about power steering. Well recently I bought a KA DOHC power steering setup thinking that would cure my problems but it doesnt fit. So my question is if the CA18DE power steering pump is the same as the DET pump. I looked at it as good as I could and it seems different. I also looked at the S12 pump and it too looks different but closer than the DE pump.

Im stumped as to what to do about power steering.

The FWD pump sits on the other side of the motor so it won't work. The KA24DE pump won't bolt up to the CA Bracket IIRC. AFAIK, you'll have to get a RWD CA18DE(T) PS pump. IDK about the CA18E(T)/CA20E pumps. I would think they'd be your best best.

Why not disassemble the HICAS pump, remove the secondary impeller and then plug the holes?

Man, I freaking threw that and my AC compressor away. I was trying to clean up the mess that my car had made and it was in that mess.

I have yet to see a ca18E or a CA20 but I'm keeping my eye out.

Thanks man
