Anyone ever encountered the ITB setup?
A business associate in Japan has located a chunk of the setup...
It seems to replace the power valve assembly, but the carb set is missing...

the only ITB setup that I'm aware of was part of an HKS kit, and didn't use carbs. It had a plenum that joined all of the ITB's together. If yours is truly setup for carbs, then it was probably a custom made thing.

Lemme see if I can find a place to host these photos, so I can link them up. It looks like a replacement for the powervalve setup.

got it

What I'm thinking here is even if it's not a carb setup...wouldn't this be good to use to eliminate the power valve setup?
IE: Eliminate all those points of failure on seals n such, prevent boost leaks, etc etc?

PS: has a plastic spacer about 1/2" on the plenum side

It's a production carb manifold, not custom. I thought I knew who made it, but I don't see it in their catalog. Some sidedraft ITBs will fit on it. Here it is this type of manifold assembled.

I have the same setup in a box somewhere that Rage hooked me up with.

If you need short parts for it, Kameari can sort you out.

Here's their stateside contact.

That's who I thought made it because they have a ton of manifolds in stock.

For ITBs, hit up TWM and pick up a set of 45s.

Anything bigger and it would be a b**** in town, but scream on the highway.

PM Rage, too, if you use it. I think he is still sitting on a header or two. If not, I think I can scare one up. :dblthumb:

Expect to have to hack it up and reweld it, though, to get around the steering shaft if your car is LHD.

See, I'm still learning new stuff about this engine! Did they make them for that racing series that they used the CA in?

I'm learning too. I didn't know such a racing series existed.

LOl... main reason is because its still not running ;) Had problems with my pistons, I accidently sold the pistons that were made for the stroker crank, So after 6-12 months of trying to track some down again, I opted for custom ones, Took 3 months to make, then a month to send to me... then when they arrived the wrist pin holes were the incorrect size... so now am waiting another 3 months for them to be made again free of charge... liek the should be lol. In the mean time, All my second hand suspensoin components from Japan are being sand blasted/powder coated and new sypherical joints installed... and subframe risers nistalled aswell as new cusco suspension. Should be rolling the next few motnhs... kinda has to be as we are looking for buy a second property/house lol.
