I have a 1990 240sx. i just recently got the jdm ca18de put in. where can i get the wiring done correctly? i have the usdm 200sx ca18de wiring harness and ecu. i was told by akina motorsports they could do it for 350 but just for connecting the wiring? kinda outrageous. can anyone give me legit advice on what to do about my wiring situation? the motor is in, and im just waiting for the wiring?im looking for advice on how your swap was done and what you did from people swapping the ca18de into the 240sx?

They aren't just connecting wiring, they are figuring out all the diagrams and matching everything up right. plus, for actual payment, they better damn well use good heat shrink covered butt connectors.

There are lotsa ppl here who have dun it... and i think there is a couple write ups. As long as ur handy with a soldoring torch and can read diagrams... oh and have a spare weekend to kill....

a CA18DET and DE are not the same....... wiring this in maybe very different, idk. I dont think too many people have done it other than TMS and maybe float(seem to remember him hunting for a NA RWD Header back in the day).

is there a reason you are going NA?

Haha, $350? I haven't updated in a while because of scheduling issues, but I would gladly pay someone $350 at this point to make my CA18DET harness work with my CA18DET engine in my USDM 240sx. We've done something minor wrong and is causing all kinds of headaches that we can not track down...

I have a nice RWD NA Exhaust mani I won't be using if you are ever interested. Was going for an NA buildup but went another direction.

How arent they the same? I went from a de to det pretty easily what would the difference be in a 240sx? u still have the same kind of wires to splice in.

I would wager a guess it wont cost 350 bucks either...... hell a Megasquirt setup is almost the same price once you source the harnesses andd ECU.....
