ya, the headgasket is the same as the engine is basically the same with few internal changes.

cool because I found a place that from what the picture it looks like the headgasket is metal and is made for a CA18DE. It also come with the other stuff in the picture.

pumaman, i dont think thats a hg kit for a ca, due to the fact that the ca uses a belt for timing, that looks like a ka kit, or some other motor that uses a timing chain, i could be wrong tho

thats the kit they're selling on ebay... be careful with that. I emailed them and told them thats not the right picture for a CA18DE gasket kit (wrong headgasket, and where are the 2 valve cover gaskets?) but they "assured" me it was the correct kit, exactly as pictured. It was painfully obvious that either they have the wrong kit labeled for a CA18DE, or they're just plain dumb.

p.s. thats not metal. thats the shiny silvery asbestos or something that all headgasket (and exhaust gaskets) are made from. nothing special.

it says it's for an s13 CA18DE, but the picture is not a CA18DE gasket set at all... they also say "the picture below is excatly what you will get" so yeah, be careful ordering through them!

Look here for pics of what the gaskets should look like.

http://www.bgautomotive.co.uk/html/catalogue.html

Yeah.....thats a KA24DE kit.......check the site I posted....they show pics of the KA24DE gaskets........and they have the same "heart shaped" intake gaskets and the "double dual" circular gasket with 5 small holes.

Also note, this site lists all the other makes and models that certain parts are "cross overs" for.........including models that may or may not show up in the "CA cross over list" Ex:

Hydraulic liftersPart No : HL6322
