Ca18de code 14

im getting a code 14 vehicle speed sensor. Is the speed sensor input necessary for the ecu to function normally at all? Im running a bluebird U12 ca18de, and a 1988 nissan pulsar NX ecu and wiring harness. So far it seems to run perfect just curious as to any possible positive or negative effects I might gain by running the speed sensor.

Clear the code and you should be just fine. For your application, it won't affect performance one bit.
